yes, his voice has weakened. but he uses it well enough for it for the songs to still shine. with this it just sounds fucked up, weak, and weird. that said, i do like becker’s solo albums and “slang of ages”.

The Dan are what they are because of Fagen’s vocals. He isn’t a great singer but is a good singer with a great voice for their style of music. Becker should never sing. In fact this is the first time I have seen him singing.
